Well thankfully the answer to as to how much water (and energy) your shower is using is an easy test. You will need two things a timer / stopwatch and a bucket (with measuring lines).
- Place your bucket under the shower, prepare the timer and be ready to start the timer when you turn on the shower
- Turn the water on and time the flow for 30 seconds
- Measure the amount of water in the bucket according to the line marker in the bucket.
Once you have this number, times it by two and that will be your flow rate per minute. If your flow rate is higher than 10 litres per minutes then all of our showers can save you water and energy.
